An interdenominational magazine, examining news, issues and events within the Christian community in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton (Ontario) and surrounding areas. Through increased awareness and dialogue, Beacon seeks to foster cooperation, understanding and a greater appreciation for common goals and objectives within the Christian community.

Please inform us of newsworthy events, achievements and developments within your congregation for consideration as a news story. We also welcome ideas for feature stories which may be of interest to the local Christian community. If your church is issuing a press release, please forward a copy to Beacon magazine. Should you need assistance preparing a media release, we would be happy to help.

PEOPLE AND PLACES (news@beaconmagazine.ca)
Each issue of Beacon will include a ‘People and Places’ page of photos to reflect various activities having taken place within the local Christian community. Churches are encouraged to send in photos of special activities or newsworthy events. Photographic prints can be sent to our mailing address, or digital photos may be sent by email. Please be sure to include the date, location, nature of event, and names of those clearly visible in the photo (left to right, front to back).

Beacon provides a free listing of upcoming events that are open to those outside your congregation, such as seminars, workshops, lectures, concerts and similar activities. Send to happenings@beaconmagazine.ca. Please be sure to include date, time, location, a description of the event and a contact person with phone and/or email.
